MCFARLAND/TOWN OF BLOOMING GROVE–Frank DiPiazza, age 95, of McFarland, passed away at Oak Park Place on Monday, April 11, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 10, 1921, the son of Andrew and Angelina (Aflana) DiPiazza. Frank married Rose Salerno on Nov. 29, 1941, in Madison. He was a dock foreman for 17 years at Neuendorf Transportation. He then attended the police academy and was a police officer in Verona for five years, the Town of Madison for five years, and McFarland Police Department for ten years, retiring on March 12, 1986. In between, Frank operated his own contract mail carrier business for the U.S. Post Office for nearly seven years. He was also a member of the Italian Workman's Club. Frank is survived by his wife of 75 years, Rose; children, Frank (Tracy) DiPiazza and Angela (Earyl) Brabender; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Ales; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a special thank you to their wonderful neighbors, Dick and Bea Hayden. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas, Joseph, and Samuel; and sisters, Teresa and Laura. A gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon, on Monday, April 18, 2016. A private burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family would like to thank Oak Park Place and Agrace HospiceCare for their kind, loving and special care. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare.
