MADISON- Nancy Jean Harvey, age 89, of Madison, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2016, in Madison. She was born on Nov. 12, 1926, in Seattle, Wash., the daughter of Alameda and Harry Wood. Nancy lived in Platteville from 1950 until 1974 while married to William Harvey. They later divorced, and Nancy moved to Madison, where she worked for Central Life Insurance for 25 years. For many years, her house was a way station for her son, John, when he would go out on his sailboat on Lake Mendota. Nancy is survived by her son, John R. Harvey. Aunt Jean,
I will always remember your love and your kindness. Dad, Mom and I always loved coming to your place to visit, especially with Great Grandma Meta there. You never owned a microwave or coffee pot which is something my Dad always admired, and I do as well. You will always be in my thoughts and in my heart. Go Badgers! And I will heed your older brothers' advice: to keep my nostrils tidy.
