Jim and I grew up together in La Crosse, being first cousins, and both born in 1939 we had lots of family in common. He lived on the 1100 block of Liberty Street, I lived on the 500 block of Liberty. I stopped at their house many days after school to see what Aunt Evie had baked for the family that day. She always shared. Jim was the second oldest, as was I in our family. So sorry to say that I had lost touch with Jim many years ago as we both married and had our families. As history shows, he had 1 son and 2 daughters, and so did I. Our Mom's were sisters. There were about 35 grandchildren for our grandparents, with my sister Pat being the oldest, and JIm and I were just down the line not too far. God Bless his family, and his memory. May the Lord keep him safe in his hands and bring him one more time into the arms of his parents, Herman and Evie. I remember Jim and his brothers but most of my memories are of Aunt Evie. Jim is also my first cousin as is Nancy Proctor. My dad, Arnold Pendleton, was Aunt Evie's brother. I'm a bit younger than the Ogden boys but I have memories of their home on Liberty street, a visit to Madison and a visit to Milwaukee when I was younger. Jim always had a smile on his face so this photo is so like I remember. Rest in peace Jim. Jean (Pendleton) Smith (daughter of Arnold and Gertrude Pendleton) N3511 Sun Valley Rd. La Crosse, WI 54601

Uncle Jim was my Godfather at my baptism and I remember him being a very kind, hardworking man that did everything he could for his family. I think the thing I remember most of him is his old classic car. He'd let us sit in it when we'd go to visit. He bravely battled the same thing that took my grandfather, Jim's father. He was a kind soul, too, that Uncle Jim took after. May he be at peace now. I'm sure my dad, Jim's youngest brother, will have much to catch up on and he will not be alone. Grandma used to tell me stories of the troubles my dad and uncles would get into as boys. They were close as brothers from what I could see. I, also, remember Uncle Jim for his live of violin paying with his older brother at family holiday gaterings. He was very good at it and it was treat to hear him play. I never knew he was in an orchestra. You will be missed Uncle Jim my condolences to my cousins, his brothers and friends. I am sorry for the loss of a wonderful man. My blessings to all. My God watch over Uncle Jim and his family. I wish I could be there to show my remembrance and support.

Bob Pendleton My memories of Jim are when we were young going to my Grand parents home then going across the street to visit my aunt Evie. I love to spend time at their house, always seemed like a happy home. Brother Bob was more my age. I also remember spending time at their home in Madison catching night crawlers at night. When the moved to Milwaukee it was a stop over for me during my travels during my navy days. My dad Arnie and me also took in several Braves games with the Ogden boys and their dad Uncle Herman. Most recent memories were of Jim and Tom stopping by to visit my parent when traveling through town on their way to visit their brothers Frank and Bob. Rest in peace Jim, I always remember your smile that you got from your mother..
