Obituary
MONONA- Tim Lowell Peterson, age 68, a long time Monona resident, died on Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Trinity Senior Living in Madison. Tim was born on April 10, 1947, to Lowell and Theodora (Atwell) Peterson in Waukesha, Wis. He had lived in Madison since he was six years old. Tim enjoyed gardening, especially his tomatoes; music, and was in several bands in Madison; and flying. He got his pilot's license at age 16 and, later, his multi-engine and commercial rating. Tim spent many winters vacationing in Acapulco, Mexico, and, later, in Clearwater, Fla., and made many friends there. He owned several businesses in Madison over the years: Peterson Construction, Superior Firewood, and TKD Automotive. Unfortunately, Alzheimer's took away his passion, joy, and interest in the things he once enjoyed. Tim is survived by his brother, Kim (Cindy) of Blanchardville; two nieces; and his partner, caregiver, and sweetheart of 32 years, Lonna Downing of Monona. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2016. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday. Special thanks to Trinity Senior Living, Dr. James Shropshire, and Heartland Hospice for their care in Tim's last months. He will be missed. En Paz Descanse.

I worked for Tim and Kim's father Lowell in the summer of 1976. The three of them were building houses on Vondron Ave. off Buckeye Rd. on the far east side of Madison. They were and are great memories. I really enjoyed working with Tim and Kim. Very nice guys. I remember their office was back by the hills off Stoughton Rd. across from Farm & Fleet.
I did a LOT of bike riding as I lived over on Bridge Rd. in Monona just a block up from Winnequah Rd.
Thanks for the job LOWELL; thanks for the memories LOWELL, TIM and KIM;
Rest in Peace TIM and LOWELL !
