Obituary

MADISON-Richard Milton Hegwood, age 76, joined our heavenly Lord, on Sunday, March 27, 2016. He was born on Nov. 29, 1939, the son of Birdie Lee Harris and Ulysses Hegwood of Smackover, Ark. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Evelyn Castillo Hegwood; two sons, Richard Hegwood II and Layne Palor-Hegwood; two grandchildren; and many loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his loving parents. Funeral services will be held at MT. ZION BAPTIST CHURCH, 2019 Fisher St., Madison, at 9:30 a.m., on Wednesday, April 6, 2016. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, and at the church from 8:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. Evelyn and family - I was so surprised to see Richard's picture in the Sunday paper - which I didn't get to read until Monday.! Please accept my sincere condolences. Your loss is also our loss!
