Jack loved all neighborhood dogs that came to visit him and he seemed to love to chat with people too! We enjoyed our many conversations on the stoop with Jack and his beloved wife, Nancy. His sense of humor kept us laughing all the way home. We will miss you. Joe Durkin and Kim McConnell

My condolences to Nancy and the family. I knew Jack as a neighbor, and enjoyed chatting with him as he fed dog biscuits to my dog Bix (who loved him). And I know he and my husband enjoyed talking baseball. He will be missed.

We are so sad to hear of Jack's passing and know there will be a huge hole in the neighborhood now that he will no longer be here to greet people walking by with their dogs. For us his legacy is his smiling, friendly personality, and we will miss him terribly every time we walk past his house. We share our sincere condolences with his family. We were all lucky to have had him in our lives. Wendy Brown and Tom Rutlin
