Sam was a special brother and friend. We had a special bond. He was always there when I needed a listening ear. I will miss the times we spent together laughing, hiking on the trails, meeting for lunches , birthday celebrations, and weekly phone calls.
You passed away too soon. I find comfort in the fact that you are with mom. Now I have two guardian angels looking over me and guiding me through life.
RIP dear brother.
Love your little sister,
Sheri

Dad- I will forever be grateful that God chose me to be your daughter (baby girl). You were truly the best father a girl could ever ask for. I still can't believe that your gone. I already miss being able to pick up the phone and talk to you whenever I want. It's going to be hard not seeing you all the time and having you at all the kids activities. You never missed a thing. You were the best grandpa. The kids are going to miss their afternoons with you after school. I can never thank you enough for all you did for Ceena, Mason and Joe & I. I know you will continue to watch over my family like you always have. I love and miss you so much dad! Xo

I've decided to make my statements to my late Brother in the form of a letter.
Dear Sam,
I am in total shock and total belief that you are no longer here on this Earth. I have mixed emotions on this fact. First, I can only describe my feelings as total heartbreak....When a family member or friend dies after a long illness it at least affords the loved ones the chance to say their goodbyes and prepare for the day their loved one passes away. Unfortunately in your passing Sam, we never had that chance. I can however take one comfort in the fact you knew how I felt about you and the bond we shared for more than 60 years. Sam, you have been there since my earliest memories and there is no doubt you will remain part of my current and future memories until I draw my last breath and meet you on the other side. I love you Brother may you Rest in Peace. Love, Lynn

The RLHS class of 1970 has lost another of its ranks. Will always remember the "old days" at Jefferson grade school. So many beautiful words that describe what a great man you were and so loved by many. Your life was full of meaning and you will be missed by all who loved you.
