My wife and I met John when our son was in the ICU for seven weeks. He extended many courtesies to us, making our time in the hospital waiting room as comfortable as possible and answering our questions. He recognized our distress and his calming voice and genuine concern help keep us confident everything would turn out well...which it did. He came into our lives for only a short time, but left a lasting impression. John joked he was one of the lesser famous Eisenhauers, yet when we hear Eisenhauer, we think of him. We believe John was sent to us for a reason, and we are saddened to hear of his passing. Thank you, John.

Sue and Family,
I am so sorry about John's death. Meriter halls will not be the same without his presence. He was a joy to work with, got things done and done right and earned the respect and friendship of those he worked with. He will be missed. Our thoughts are with the whole Eisenhauer family.
Sincerely,
Mary Jones

John was Low Density superintendent @ Chemplex in Clinton Iowa. He always had time for his employees, no matter who you were on the "totum pole". He would make a special effort to go into the unit & ask the employees if they had any problems. He didn't change this practice when he became Plant Manager. I personally have fond memories of John, that I will remember forever! RIP...GOD BLESS YOU JOHN...

When I think of John I hear his laugh and then I hear this:
On top of spaghetti,
All covered with cheese,
I lost my poor meatball,
When somebody sneezed.
It rolled off the table,
And on to the floor,
And then my poor meatball,
Rolled out of the door
I know he is laughing with my Dad in heaven!!! I wish we could hear the jokes!!!
Peace to you all!! XOXO Rosemary French Shumaker
