Obituary
MCFARLAND-Larry J. Satterlee, age 69, of McFarland, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at the VA Hospital in Madison. He was born on March 10, 1946, in Freeport, Ill., the son of Harold and Virginia (Dage) Satterlee. He married LaDon Hendricks on March 31, 1984, in Madison. Larry was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving in Vietnam. He was a plank owner on the U.S.S. Cleveland LPD-7. Larry was a member of the VFW Post No. 7591 in Madison, the American Legion Post No. 534 in McFarland and past Post Commander with the American Legion No. 385 in Verona. He was presently employed with Masters Building Solutions. Larry enjoyed fishing, shooting sporting clays, golfing, traveling, attending his ship reunions and wintering in Florida. He especially loved watching his grandchildren at their sporting events. Larry was involved with Badger Honor Flight as a fundraiser and accompanied Merlin Slaback as his guardian in May, 2012. Larry is survived by his wife, LaDon of McFarland; children, Lori (Jim) Becker of Monona, Dawn (John) Yoose of Richland Center, Brian (Jessica Reyzek) Thielmann of Richland Center and Terry (Tammy) Thielmann of Richland Center; grandchildren, Hunter, Taylor, Maddie, Gavan, Dylan, Sierra, Keegan, Taryn and Trevyn; mother, Virginia Satterlee; brothers, Doug (Julie) Satterlee and Fred (Julia) Satterlee; nieces, Kristen, Tammy and Kim; great niece, Felecia; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; and sister, Cheryl Davenport. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, with military rites. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Badger Honor Flight http://www.badgerhonorflight.org/donate/online-donations-test. Larry was a long-time CCI build-team partner. He assisted and advised CCI on numerous construction projects over the past 20+ years. His knowledge, experience, and above all, his friendship were invaluable and he will be greatly missed. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Satterlee family.

Larry was a well respected member of the Healthcare Construction industry and his knowledge and experience was an asset to everyone that worked with him. His was a true friend to many people and golf outings will just not be the same without him. He will be sorrily missed.
