MADISON- Diane L. Gassen, age 61, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016. She was born on Oct. 27, 1954, in Madison, the daughter of Harold and Geraldine (Cullen) Gassen. Diane worked at various jobs in the Madison area and had worked at Douglas Stewart for the last 20 years. She was a very loving and caring person who was always there when needed. She will be greatly missed by friends and family. Diane is survived by her son, Jimbo (Katie) Gassen; lifelong partner, James Offerdahl Jr.; brothers and sister, Harold (Sandy) Gassen, Sandy (Bob) Tews, Jeffery Gassen, David Joe (Dorothy) Gassen, and Ronald Gassen; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016.
