Obituary
Mark Robert Kuhn, age 64, of Madison passed away on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016, at his home with family members surrounding him. He was born July 17, 1951, in Chippewa Falls, the son of Bob Kuhn and Joyce (Frederick) Kuhn. He married Denise Stenholt, in July of 1971. Mark graduated from New Lisbon High School and received his business degree from UW-Eau Claire. After becoming a CPA in 1974, he co-founded the firm Adams, Brux & Kuhn. Always having an obsession for computers and technology, he merged with Virchow Kraus in 1985, and relocated from Eau Claire to Madison to develop their computer consulting business. He started Kuhn & Company, a successful software development and consulting company in 1990. In 2010, he switched careers and became a Certified Financial Planner until his retirement in October due to health issues. Mark loved flying and was proud to be a private pilot. He enjoyed photography, cars, motorcycles and any type of technology. He was a fantastic piano player and had a passion for music. He is survived by his wife; sons, Adam Kuhn of Madison and Benjamin Kuhn of Scottsdale, Ariz.; daughter, Kara Lynn Kuhn of Madison; granddaughter, Mya Lily (the sunshine of his life); brother, Brent (Maureen) Kuhn of Bloomer; sister, Kay (Randy) Sands of Eleva; and many nieces, nephews and other family members. He was preceded in death by his mother; father; and grandparents. The family would like to thank the Agrace HospiceCare and UW Hospital for the care and kindness shown to Mark during his illness. Doug and Mary Kay had a very memorable flight with Mark and Denise out of Lake Wissota Airport in 1978. Gorgeous flight!
And, we had so much fun cruising up the Mississippi River in 1990, from Alma to Red Wing on the N. S. Belle with Captain Doug at the wheel. What a beautiful weekend trip!
Great friends make for wonderful memories.

Deniseand family, Brent and Kay,
So sorry for your loss and was so shocked when Kay posted the news of his passing. I was a lot younger then Mark but I remember how well liked he was in New Lisbon and how he was so active in School all curriculum and was so good at everything. True love as high school sweethearts. May he know rest in peace without sadness and pain. Take each day and remember how lucky you were to have a great man like him in your life. His memory will always be with you and whenever you're feeling down, think of his precious memories you have and alway will.
Deepest Condolences, Paula Kennedy Ahlers
