LaVerne Violet Wilkinson

LODI-LaVerne V. Wilkinson, age 89, of Lodi, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016, at her home. She was born May 21, 1926 in Rib Mountain, Wisc, the daughter of Henry and Ida (Emhoff) Abraham. She married Orval Wilkinson on June 17, 1945, he preceded her in death. LaVerne worked at Gansers in Lodi. She enjoyed gardening, bingo and spending time with family and friends. LaVerne is survived by her daughters, Debi (Ed) Westbury and Denise (Ron) Byrd; grandchildren, Garrett Westbury, Matthew (Karissa) Westbury, Melissa (Kelly) Kittle and Jacob Byrd; great grandchildren, Aayden, Kelly, Baylan, Aveigha, Aubrie and Kalani. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Diana Wilkinson; grandson, Mike Kittle and brother, Leon Abraham. Funeral Services will be held at HAMRE GUNDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 157 S. Main Street, Lodi, at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the services on Monday.  The family would like to thank Pastor Doris Simpson, Agrace HospiceCare  and also the staff at Sauk Prairie Hospital for the care they gave LaVerne.
