Kris helped treat my son at the UW childrens hospital sedation clinic for the the last eight years. He is a cancer patient and he really hates getting poked and stuck with IV's. But he always liked seeing Kris with all the cool toys when he was younger and the "totally awesome" iPad when he was older. We last saw her in January, and even though she was not feeling well, she still made him smile, settle down and get through the procedure. She was able to do this every time from when he was 3 to now at 11. She helped make his check ups bearable and was absolutely amazing at her job. As a Dad I can't thank her enough for the work she did for my son, and all the kids she helped every day. To her husband and family I'm so sorry for your loss. She was an amazing person and lived an extraordinary life. The positive impact she had on the patients can not be measured. Our thoughts are with you. Felipe & Leanne Avila

I have so many wonderful memories from my friendship with Kris in high school. She was always smiling and happy and so easy to be around! Kris and her brothers and sisters had a "kid" phone line and I was always accidentally calling the other phone to talk to Kris! I'm sure her Dad got sick of telling me to call the other line! Kris was a gentle soul and I know she is now flying with the Angels! You will never be forgotten Kris! Jodi Rohe

Kris rode the Middleton bus that I drove in the morning for I cant remember how long and was riding still after I stopped driving it because of changes made to the routes. Whether she was on time or late as she sometimes was with her commute she always had a smile and made my morning brighter with the good laughs that we all had on the bus with the kidding she would take when she was late and even sometimes when she wasn't. Her sense of humor was a joy on the bus. To her husband and family my deepest condolences. Lodi you will be missed by all and never forgotten by me for the good mornings you brought to my bus. To Ryan and Kris's family. Losing a loved one is the hardest thing we ever do in this life. Working with Kris has been amazing. She had such a positive attitude towards life. She lived in the moment. The love and kindness she gave will carry all of us through this time. Her spirit is too big to not be noticed. I am sure she will make her presence known to all throughout time. Hugs to all of you and prayers for peace. Each tear shed is a symbol of a blessing she bestowed upon us. Too many to count! Darnell Eveland
