Thinking of you all. I remember Ellen giving Mom and I early morning waves when we walked the dogs back when Mom was still doing that! Hopefully they found each other on the other side and are busy walking all of the dogs! Lots of good neighborhood memories.

So very sorry to hear of Ellen's passing. We were on a bowling team together many years ago. We had a great time together. I remember her as always ready with a laugh or a joke. My sympathies to you all.

I worked with Ellen at Visiting Nurse Services (VNS) more than 15 years ago but I haven't forgotten her smiling face. She was able to ease the nerves of a new home health nurse just by being her happy self. I will always remember her.

I just heard of Ellen's passing and I have many wonderful memories of working with her at VNS. There was not anything she was not willing to do! She will be missed by many, many people.

My sister and I lived next to Ellen and her boys in our childhood home on Lakeview Avenue until I was about 10 (my sister 16). I remember all the summer evenings of running around the neighborhood with all the neighborhood kids and I remember the sound of Ellen's voice at about 10pm when all the mom's would call all the kids inside. Such good memories! Several years ago, before Ellen moved out of her home, we had gone to lunch with her. I am so glad we did that! Rest in peace Ellen. (Lisa Borchert Kuwitzky)
