Obituary

OREGON-Nancy J. "Bear" (Rapp) Haak, age 68, of Oregon, died peacefully on Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, after a long fight with COPD, surrounded by her loving husband of 46 years and two children. Nancy was born on May 3, 1947, in Madison, the daughter of George and Agnes (Stumreiter). She worked 30+ years at the Department of Agriculture Trade and Consumer Protection before her retirement in 2005. Nancy was an amazingly friendly, generous, and kind person and we are all blessed to have known her. Nancy is survived by her husband, Tom; daughter, Mandy (Patrick Stack); son, Gregg; and a ton of extended family, too numerous to mention. She was preceded in death by her parents; and mother and father-in-law, Rosalind and Merlin "Bob" Haak. Per Nancy's request, no formal memorial or funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Agrace HospiceCare or Dane County Humane Society. The family would like to give a huge thank you to Dr. Couser, Ryan and Cindy from Home Health United, and all of the amazing, loving and compassionate staff at Agrace HospiceCare, especially Dee Dee, Vonnie F., Mary, Gail, and Dr. Hung. "Till we meet again..." Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com. Gunderson Oregon Funeral & Cremation Care 1150 Park Street (608)835-3515

Worked with Nancy at DATCP both at Badger Road and Agriculture Drive. With my work in the mail center she was always pleasant. It was easy to solve issues whether it was from her work area or mine. My sympathies to her family. Harry Barker

I worked with Nancy at DATCP at Badger Road and Agriculture Drive. Nancy was always so helpful and I loved her sense of humor. She was always so down to earth. I missed seeing her when she retired. My sympathies to Tom and her loving family. Carok Cockroft
