Obituary
COTTAGE GROVE- William C. Larson, age 88, of Cottage Grove, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, at Agrace HospiceCare after a long illness. He was born on March 24, 1927, to William and Lucille (Elstrom) Larson, in Colfax. Bill joined the U.S. Navy in 1945 and was honorably discharged in 1947. He then started working in construction until he retired in 1991 from Findorff. Margaret and Bill were married for over 50 years. He was an active member of the VFW Post 7951 and American Legion Post 0245 of Cottage Grove, Disabled American Veterans Chapter 2, Madison, Wisconsin, and Carpenters Union for over 50 years. Bill's favorite past times were trips to Arizona, spending time with his family and friends, and fishing. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Larson; son, Joey (Debbie) Larson of Greenville; daughter, Julie (Jim) White of McFarland; two grandchildren, Deandra Larson and Kyle White; brothers-in-law, William (Linda) Dooley and Jim Dooley; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Doug) Panzier and Therese Murray. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lucille Larson. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Thank you all of Bill's neighbors and friends for all the help, love and concern over the last few years.
