Sauerkraut and spareribs was a staple of my character on The Young and the Restless. It all came from aunt Mary. Once I got to know her, she sent the actual recipe to my real life mother. It became a staple not only for my character, but for me. She was so sweet, kind, loving and gracious. It was my honor to know her. As a tribute to her, in an upcoming episode, I made reference to her sauerkraut and spareribs at dinner in the Genoa City Athletic Club. I think it airs on the Tuesday, March 1st.
