Mary Elizabeth Schultz

Mary E. Schultz, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. The Memorial service will be held at 12:00 pm on February 9, 2016 at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Avenue, Middleton. Visitation will be held prior to the service at Gunderson Funeral Home, 11:30 am until the time of service. Mary was born in Madison, Wisconsin on March 4, 1922 to Stanley and Olive Nielson. She earned her nursing degree from the University of Wisconsin and continued on to be a Nursing Superintendent at U.W. Hospital. Mary was first married to Henry Peiss, Sr. Mary and Henry had three children, Elizabeth, Mark and Joe. She married Howard Schultz later in life, and they lived in DeSoto, WI for many years. Mary enjoyed traveling all around the world. Mary is survived by her three children: Elizabeth (Mike) Orabella, Mark Peiss and Joe (Kristi) Peiss; grandchildren: Niki (Mark) Hagen, Kati (Mike) Boland, Andrew Peiss, Jackie (Damyan) Sandoval, Carley (Brian) Staskal, Lisa Coster, Michael Coster, Angela (Chad) Gnagy; great grandchildren: Cole Hagen, Halli Hagen, Henry Boland, Isaac Sandoval and Rael Gnagy. Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry Peiss, Sr., her second husband, Howard Schultz, her sister, Dorothy Browne, and her parents, Stanley and Olive (Parsons) Nielson. The family of Mary Schultz wishes to thank the staff at Ingleside Manor in Mount Horeb, WI, where Mary spent the last few years of her life.
