Thomas Conway

MADISON-Thomas "Tom" Conway, age 90, of Madison, passed away on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016. He was born on Nov. 5, 1925, the son of John and Hattie (Schroeder) Conway. Tom graduated from Central High School and was discharged from the Army in May of 1947. He worked as an office manager at Wisconsin Petroleum. Tom also owned and operated Craft Barn at Westgate Mall for 17 years, until he retired. He loved many animals, especially dogs and enjoyed his crafts and gardening. Tom is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, William, Herman, James and Frank; and sisters, Grace, Harriet, Marie, Mary, Dorothy and Alice. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dane County Humane Society.
