Jaetta S. Elliott

MADISON-Jaetta S. Elliott, age 83, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on Aug. 11, 1932, in Madison, the daughter of Norman and Janet V. (Halverson) Oren. She married Keith Elliott on Oct. 16, 1954, at Trinity Lutheran Church. Jaetta worked for Oscar Mayer Foods for 42 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Moose Lodge and a lifetime member of the VFW Post 8483 auxilliary. She enjoyed ceramics, scrapbooking, gardening, and shopping on QVC. In addition, she loved jewelry, crafting and yardwork. Jaetta is survived by her daughter, Jan Williams; granddaughter, Jaida Williams (John Brickley); former husband, Keith Elliott; sister, Darlene (Buzz) Stluka and family; sister-in-law, Kay Oren and family; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Peter and Paul Oren; and feline companion Forest Bleu. A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 10 a.m. until noon, on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2016. Please bring your favorite story to share at a time of remembrance at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
