Obituary
MONONA-Mildred "Millie" Riha, age 88, of Monona, died peacefully at her home on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, knowing in her heart of hearts that she left a legacy of love for God, family, dear friends and all of nature during her wonderful and caring life. Millie met her future husband and the love of her life, Len, on News Year Eve while Len was in the Air Force 64 years ago and their family journey began. She was a devoted Christian, loving wife, parent, grandparent, and great-grandparent. Her gardening talents left every neighborhood in which she lived resplendent in flowers from March to November. Millie is survived by her husband, Leonard Riha of Monona; her children, Paul (Claudia) Riha of Carlsbad, Calif., Peggy (Kelly) Benson of Victoria, Minn., Mary Pat (Kevin) Williams of Monona and Patrick Riha (Kim) of Madison; her grandchildren, Benjamin (Molly) Williams, Katelynn Williams, Alicia Williams, Brian (Rachel) Benson, Nikki (Guy) Letson, Ryan Riha and Amy Riha; and her great-grandchild, Oliver Williams. Her bright Irish smile and sparkling eyes and quick wit are already missed but will never be forgotten. Millie's gift of giving continues with her choice to participate in the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine body donation program. Our family wishes to sincerely thank all the Hospice angels who made Millie's final journey on earth so meaningful. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Please feel free to make a donation to the charity of your choice in Millie's name. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Here's a family photo with Aunt Millie, her mother Bertha and all her siblings at Murphy Hanrehan park in Burnsville, MN for a family picnic. Possibly the greatest group of kids ever.
