Doug and Kathy,
I know how hard Mom fought. It is never easy, losing the most important people in our lives. Mom fought the fight up to the very end. She was proud to be in her own home and you made that possible. She is loved and will be missed, greatly. She completed her journey with grace, dignity and in the fashion she desired; with you there, holding her hand and letting her know you will be okay.
Know that I love you, and we are here for you. She is free of that ugly disease of Cancer and reunited with your Dad. They are probably dancing and laughing while watching over the family.
With deepest sympathies to both of you, Lori and Mark as well as TJ!! Love you more

To the Family of Anita Pollard,
Please accept our deepest sympathies for Anita's passing. Where we didn't know her personally, we are very good friends of Mark, and have shared this experience with him as Anita was losing this brave battle. Having parents that have passed away from cancer, we truly know how you feel. Remember that she is no longer in pain and is with God and her family who has passed before her.

I remember going to stay at Anita's house and I was so impressed when I woke up in the morning to a huge breakfast fit for a king! Such a neat lady! You will be missed!

I worked at Methodist Hospital with Anita for many years. She was an amazing teacher, mentor and role model to me so many years ago. In later years we became good friends and I appreciated getting together with her for lunches and reunions. Anita never hesitated to host a get-together or a pot luck for one of her nurse buddies. She was a gracious hostess for many parties. Life wasn't always easy for Anita. . She endured the death of her husband in a car accident and a young son. Yet she continued on in her life with strength and dignity. She raised her 4 children who are a true testament to the wonderful woman she was.
I am traveling and will not be able to attend the services on Saturday. My deepest sympathy to the family, you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
