I was glad I was able to visit with Debbie on one of my trips out to Madison, WI. The things I will remember was how welcoming and hospitable Debbie was after not seeing me for a number of years. We had a very nice visit that day. I know Debbie struggled with her illnesses over the years and I have peace knowing she is out of her battle here on Earth. I was saddened to learn of her passing. I was a teenager (13) when Debbie was born and I "babysat" on occasion for her and Bro Michael when they lived on Roycroft Dr in Rochester, NY. I will always remember her quick wit, easy smile and willingness to please and to mention how all the cousins(20 something) would be a party in thenselves at Holiday Parties / Summer Picnics, Graduations etc.etc. They shared a lot of Life and I am happy I could partake. She will be missed and her memory will prevail. Aunt Marcia from Rochester, NY

Living close to Aunt Sue and Uncle Bill's home, Mis and I hung out with Debbie a lot when we were kids. Being younger than Debbie, I looked up to her. She was so smart and fun. We had lots of good times together. She often rode me around on the handlebars of her bike. I'll never forget our sleepovers with the three of us squeezed into a pup tent made for two, especially one certain sleepover at her Uncle Dick's and Aunt Judy's place in the hills of Bath, NY - it poured buckets all night. We sang camp songs throughout the storm (we could sing 100 bottles of beer on the wall, found a peanut, I saw a bear and others endlessly without getting tired of them). The next morning, we had to wash our hair with ice water from the water pump - we would start screaming before the water came out as we knew what was coming. And we had a grand time on our all girls' trip with our moms to Philadelphia and Valley Forge for the 1976 Bicentennial. We stayed at a KOA camp near Philly which had a nearby creek and rope for us to swing in the creek. We sung as usual on the train into the city (the poor other passengers who we apparently didn't care too much about!) and got to see Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and even President Ford who flew in on his helicopter to celebrate the Bicentennial when we were there. I am so glad that Aunt Maureen and Debbie were able to catch up and be there for one another in Wisconsin, and I know that Debbie is at peace in a much better place. God Bless You, Debbie. Your cousin, Jill

Peace in Heaven she now is!! Our most Special Beautiful Debby! Her souls passions & her loving spirit will stay with us for sure! Heaven is where it's at! Yes! Debby is in glorious peace in Heaven with our Lord and our beloved family who are there with her. She has all our Love for sure ! You bet Gramma Platt is up close smiling big with her there! Holiday time at the house Debby would always make sure to help out Gramma to lighten the load. Always thanked her too soo much for her treats and wonderment! I was so happy when I got to share special times and adventures with Deb also with Mike, Lisa, Suzie & Billy. I'm so glad and thankful because I got to be not only an aunt but her friend too. I only hope a good one for her! I remember good times with Deb and all especially loved the drive-in movie fun ! We were packed happy in the car! You new Debby was enjoying the show with her joyous contagious laugh! Just couldn't help to laugh out loud with her! Camping was great ! we had so much fun at the beach. Deb could brave the water when it was cold! She had such creative talent & determination building sand castles with moats! she'd run back & forth to get the lake water with pail to fill the moats!....endlessly!! At the campsite her favorite was toasting marsh-mellows. If cool out she'd huddle tight in blanket at the campfire side, just quietly mesmirized at the sparkling, snapping coals. At tent time we'd scramble & delve right in for singing songs that Suzie had taught us. "I found a peanut","over the mountain". Boy cound Debby sing! Plus we'd tell ghost stories! Deb would intently listen, totally immersed! Winter time meant special sledding on Durand Eastman park hills! She made special efforts to tread up those long steep hills with sled in tow, never giving up to reach the hill top; for the very fun ride down! Debby was so much fun to be with and made me feel sooo special! She made it a point to make sure I and we all were In-the-moment ! That we counted! She appreciated greatly and soo very gracious! Even battled her illnesses graciously! Super at caring soo much and sharing from her very depths! Loving! Giving soo much from her heart! You can bet when it's our turn to get up to heaven, Debby will be right there at the gate! You can depend on it ! Along with her very fabulous, beautiful, big smile!! I can feel your smile Deb! I'm missing you very much! You have All my love Forever 'n ever! God Bless You! & Bless us all ! XXOO A.Marty
