Obituary

WAUNAKEE-Patrick M O'Rell, age 70, passed away at his home in Waunakee on Friday, Dec. 25, 2015. Patrick was born on Nov. 20, 1945, in Chicago, Ill., to Thomas E O'Rell and Clara A Souza. He married the love of his last life, E. Sue Green on Nov. 4, 1964. Patrick and Sue moved to Wisconsin in 1967. Patrick worked in the printing industry as a camera operator and plate maker. He was also a commercial photographer. In the 70's he served the Vernon County Sheriff's office photographing crime scenes and auto accidents. Pat enjoyed many hobbies: building model trains, planes and rockets. He was also a CB and Ham radio enthusiast, volunteering for emergency assistance organizations. With his self-taught electronic skills, he learned how to build and repair computers. This skill allowed him to open his own computer repair business, Pat's Computers, in Lodi. Upon his retirement he moved to Waunakee. Patrick was preceded in death by his loving wife, E. Sue (Green) O'Rell; his parents, Thomas E. and Clara A. (Souza O'Rell) Hunton; and his step father, Roy S. Hunton. He is survived by his stepmother, Hope O'Rell; and his children, Mary (O'Rell) and Randy Elsner of Sun Prairie, Michael and Autumn (Bradley) O'Rell of Lodi; his grandchildren, Scott Elsner, Felicia O'Rell and Mason O'Rell; his sister, Maureen (O'Rell) and Jack Dray of Holmen; and his step-brother, Ross and Astrid (Warnke) Hunton of Coral Springs, Fla. A celebration of Patrick's life will be held Saturday, Jan. 23, 2015, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., at the WISCONSIN CENTER FOR MUSIC EDUCATION, 1005 Quinn Dr., Waunakee. My condolences to Patrick's family and friends. Pat and I met with his computer business but quickly became friends, as well. He was compassionate and caring and I was honored to have made his acquaintance on this earth. Bill Boeger, Lodi WI

Pat, I really enjoyed the talks we had and the afternoon you played the organ for me. I can understand why you were worried about having it in your apartment. I also miss being able to give you a call when I had a computer problem. May God take care of you and say hi to Sue.
