MADISON-Patricia J. "Patti" (Baltes) Grosse, age 69, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly at her home of natural causes on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2015. She was born on April 6, 1946, in Madison, the daughter of Gerald and Bernetta Grosse. She was a 1964 graduate of Middleton High School. Patti had been married to Richard Baltes and they had 2 daughters together, Kristen and Becky. Richard preceded her in death in 2007. She worked as a hair dresser in Middleton before working with Richard as an office manager for Baltes Electric. Patti later joined the UW Hospital and worked in patient accounting until her retirement in 2013. The loves of her life were her two granddaughters, Ava and Ali. Patti was happiest when spending time with them, whether it was taking them shopping, watching them do gymnastics, or playing games with them. She also enjoyed shopping and going to dinner with Becky and with her friends. She was an avid reader and participated in a book club after retirement. Patti's best friend was Patti Foss. They had a wonderful friendship that lasted 54 years and never missed a day talking with each other. Patti is survived by her daughter, Becky Baltes; her grandchildren, Ava and Ali; her siblings, David (Joan) Grosse, Ron (Andrea) Grosse, Dennis (Susan) Grosse, and Mary (Craig) Kraemer; former son-in-law, Ryan Rogers and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristen Baltes and her parents, Bernetta and Gerald Grosse. Patti had a love of life like no other and touched the lives of everyone she met. She will be dearly missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave, Middleton at 11 AM on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL & CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave, Middleton from 4 PM until 7 PM on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015 and also at the church on Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service. Patti was the classy lady I have ever met....she had grace, dignity and a sense of what is proper and what isn't. She was funny and a friend to all. She will be missed by many!
