Margaret Ring

COLUMBUS/MONTELLO/MADISON- Margaret Ann Ring, age 82 of Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015. She was born on May 21, 1933 in Ashton, the daughter of Joseph and Irene Statz. She graduated from Central High School in 1951, married the love of her life, Harold Ring, on May 24, 1952 in Madison, and moved to Columbus in 1961. Marge was a consummate homemaker, was a member of the Homemakers, and Harold and Marge were the owners of Blackhawk Tap in Columbus. While continuing to work for JC Penny, they purchased the Buffalo Lake Camping Resort in 1984. Upon retiring in 1991, they moved back to Madison. Marge is survived by her children, Debra (Michael) Pecosky, Michael (Laura) Ring, Marion (David) Daniel, Sandra (Donald) Schoenherr, Linda (Gary) Doudna, Nancy (Merlin) Ring, and Alan Ring; son-in-law, Ronald (Carol) Rank; sister-in-law, Betty Jane Ring; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and daughter, Diane. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, with Father Randy Timmerman presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Dennis School, St. Jude, or the Donor's Choice.
