Dixie was one of a kind . Her special sense of humor, wit and enthusiasm will be sorely missed by her friends. Glad the journey is over and you can rest, Dixie. We look at The Lake( Superior) and remember Dixie stooped and looking for rocks. We look at the mountains and remember Dixie climbing them with pack and boots. We see owls and think of Dixie with her camera taking photos. We raise a glass of good beer at the pub and remember Dixie. Always we remember Dixie because a huge part of her remains up here on the North Shore and will forever. There are too many reminders to mention. The Lake remains the same but we will all be changed for knowing Dixie. Sending lots of LOVE and PEACE from the Shore, dear Jean. Karen and Ellen

Jean, I'm so sad to hear that Dixie has passed away. I'm sorry I never got to meet her, but knowing you, I was sure she would be wonderful. The descriptions I've read confirm what a remarkable and lovable person she was. May she rest in peace, and may your memories of her be a source of strength and joy for years to come. I look forward to seeing you back at Pilates or one-on-one when you're ready. We have missed you. With warm thoughts and prayers, Joanne.
