Obituary
MADISON – Mary Lou Marty, age 89, passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 14, 2015, at Madison Pointe assisted living in Madison. She was born on Nov. 2, 1926, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of Gabriel and Josephine (Petrarca) Dalonzo. In the early 1960's, Mary Lou and her husband, John opened the Phillips 66 station on Regent St. Then, on Jan. 1, 1971, they opened Beltline Mobil on Todd Drive. Mary Lou was recognized as the driving force behind the counter while John's talent as a mechanic saw their business grow until their retirement to Florida in 1985. Mary Lou was an avid reader, enjoying everything from Hollywood gossip magazines, spy novels, and autobiographies to the National Geographic. She loved to travel; especially taking cruises in the Caribbean. There are many that will never forget the kindness shared by Mary Lou. She was a very giving person and always thoughtful of people in need. Mary Lou is survived by her three sons, Robert (Theresa) of Blue Mounds, Peter (Janice) of Port Orange, Fla. and Bret (Christina) of London, England; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers and step sisters, Dominec John "DJ" (Marilyn "Misty") Dalonzo of Miami, Fla. and Frank (Kathryn) Dalonzo of Pittsburgh, Pa. A Memorial Mass will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH PARISH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, Wis., on Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Friday. The family would like to thank Madison Pointe assisted living in Madison for their daily services for elderly caregiving. A special thank you to Dr. Giorgi of Wildwood Clinic and Roxie of Madison Pointe for their understanding and patience with the ongoing struggle of Alzheimer's not only with the victim, but also their family. My sincere sympathy to the family and friends of Mary Lou. The loss of our dear loved ones can be very difficult and distressing to cope with. It has helped myself and others when we remember that they now safely rest in the loving memory of our Grand Creator, waiting for the fulfillment of His promised purpose. Also, may your own good and loving memories of Mary Lou help to soothe your hearts. Sincerely
( Revelation 21 : 3-5; Acts 24 : 15; Psalms 37 : 11 )

My deepest sympathy to Mary Lou's family. Alzheimer's is such a devastating disease. We became friends when we were neighbors at Westminster and had some enjoyable times together. Sadly, when she moved north I had no contact with her and was not able to get together after she came back to Madison. I no longer drive so will be unable to attend her memorial service. However, she will be in my thoughts.
Sincerely, Betty DeNood

Sorry to learn of your loss. I know that you did everything in your power to advocate for your mother, when she could no longer do so for herself.
