Obituary

MADISON-Rebecca Lee "Becky" Bender, age 51, was born on March 25, 1964, and went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015. She was born in Madison, the daughter of Delbert Jr. and Marilyn Bender. Rebecca grew up in Madison and graduated from Calvary Baptist Christian School in 1982. In high school, she played volleyball and was a great ping-pong player. She worked various jobs, delivering newspapers, working at Woodman's grocery store as a utility clerk and the post office. Rebecca loved Hallmark movies and animals, especially her three cats, Blackie, Cuddles and Stripey, who were like her children. She was a member of Grace Bible Church in Sun Prairie where she enjoyed singing hymns and bible study. Rebecca is survived by her sisters, Brenda Heckelsmiller, Kim Vincent, and Stephanie (Don) Gehin; nieces and nephews, Jeffrey Bender, Jennifer Vincent, Katie Hatter, Josh, Sarah and Eli Vincent; and twin great-nieces , Adelaide and Wren Hatter. She was preceded in death by her parents. Memorial services will be held at NORTHSIDE CHRISTIAN ASSEMBLY, 709 Northport Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Friday, Dec. 18, 2015 with Pastor Wes Barteck of Grace Bible Church Sun Prairie presiding. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family. Rebecca will be remembered as a loving daughter, sister, and aunt. She will be dearly missed. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
