Obituary

MONONA-June Wagner, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015, at St Mary's Hospital. She was born on June 29, 1922, in Spencer, Wis., to Bert and Clara Flint. June graduated from Marshfield High School in 1940. On June 6, 1941, she was joined in marriage to Francis "Bill" Wagner and they spent 53 years together. June was a long time resident of Monona, a charter member of Lake Edge United Church of Christ and a member of the Starlite Chapter of the Eastern Star. She was a stay at home mom, making a home for her family and raising her six children. After her children were older, she started working outside the home. June was employed at WI Canteen and the Memorial Union until her retirement in 1987. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family. June is survived by her children, Ed, Chuck (Pam), Linda Kelly, Judy (Bob) Barlow, Pat (John) Elliott and Mike (Cindy); 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at LAKE EDGE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 4200 Buckeye Rd, Madison, at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Dec 5, 2015. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015, and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
