Carol Williams

FITCHBURG-Carol K. Williams, age 84, of Fitchburg, died peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015. She was born on May 14, 1931, the daughter of Dr. Robert James and Agnes (Jenks) Hudson. Carol attended St. James Parochial School, West High School where she was a cheerleader for two years and Sauk High School. She was a charter member of MATC show choir. Carol took music theory courses at the UW-Madison under the direction of Michael Baker for 9 years. She was a member of the Madison Opera Chorus. Carol was a Den Mother for years at the Lowell School in Monona. She was the social secretary for St. Bernards Catholic Church. Carol sold Avon for years and was employed at Culligan Water in Baraboo and Land's End in Reedsburg. Carol was a devoted mother to her children, Theodore (Sandie) Williams, Jr., Anthony Williams, Kathleen Ann (Joe Mirenna) Drake, Bill Williams, John (Peggy) Williams, Andrew Williams, David Williams and Michael Williams. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is further survived by her loving sister, and brother-in-law, Phyllis (Eldin) Paquin; her caring brother and sister-in-law, William Richard (Linda) Hudson; and many nieces and nephews. She was especially thankful for her loving and devoted nieces, CPT Gay Leigh Mundy and Melanie J. Buss. Carol was preceded in death by her beloved parents; her son, Thomas; sister, and brother-in-law, Patricia (Edwin) Mundy; her sister and brother-in-law, Roberta (Gerald) Ebert and her brother and sister-in-law, James L. (Sandy) Hudson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD AT ST. JOSEPH PARISH, 1905 W. Beltline Hwy., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the mass on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's hospital.
