Obituary
FOSTER, ALEXANDRA MARIAMADISON/BLUE MOUNDS-Alexandra (Allie, Alex) Foster, 33, died Sunday, November 22, 2015 at her Madison home. Allie was born April 24, 1982 in Madison to Mark and Kathy Foster. Her early years were lived in Madison, later moving to rural Blue Mounds and graduating from Wisconsin Heights H.S. in 2000. Allie received an Associate in Arts degree in 2007 from M.A.T.C. and attended Viterbo University and U.W. Madison. Her truest talent and passion was creating abstract art, sometimes free-hand, occasionally digital, which was exhibited in galleries at UW, VSA, and coffeehouses. This work brought a unique depth and intelligence to our lives. Allie enjoyed the natural beauty of her family farm as reflected in her photography. She also enjoyed her dogs, the company of friends, and the solitude of reading. Besides her parents, survivors include brothers Colin and Bran and their families, cousin Lise, aunt Patty, uncles Dave, Tim, Jim, Tom and their families. Allie was preceded in death by her grandparents and maternal aunt, Mary. A gathering of family and friends will take place at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL& CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton from 1 – 3 pm on Saturday, December 12, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to NAMI Dane Co. (www.namidanecounty.org). Sincere thanks to all who helped light and lighten Allie's path. Allie will truly be missed! She was a caring individual who saw the world in a unique way. Her constant "doodling" progressed into creative color infused works of art. I will miss my concert buddy, as Leon will miss his fishing buddy. Words for family: Stay strong and know she will always be with us.

Dear Mark & Kathy -
I remember Alexandra as such a sweet child, back in the days when she visited the NLS house. My heart goes out to you both.

Dear Kathy, Mark and family; I was at Century House, where Kathy and I worked together many years ago, and Cris told me about Allie. No more shopping, I had to come home.
I am so very sorry. I am sorry for all she went through and all you went through as you tried to help her. I will be sending a donation in Allie's name to NAMI. I am very sorry that I cannot come to the memorial on December 12th . Kathy I hope you will call me when you feel up to it.
Sincerely, Deborah Nelson (608) 516-3822.
