Obituary
MONONA–Kay D. (Dotzel) Pearson, age 73, of Monona, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on Feb. 28, 1942, in Freeport, Ill., the daughter of Woody and Norma (Lange) Dotzel. She married Gene Pearson on July 15, 1961, in Madison, and shared 54 wonderful years. Kay graduated in 1959 from Central High School. She worked her entire life in the insurance industry and enjoyed caring for her clients. Kay was a loving and caring wife and mom and adored her grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, caring for pets and playing her lottery numbers weekly. Kay is survived by her husband, Gene; daughters, Angela (Kelly) Genter and Kristina (Ray Tushoski) Pearson; grandchildren, Lindsay (Curt) Husting, Taylor Genter, Kaitlin Tushoski, Olivia Genter and Bridget Tushoski. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Karl and Donald Dotzel. A memorial gathering will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Kay was a beautiful woman both on the inside and outside. Her hair was always just right and lipstick always applied. :) She had a kind and gentle demeanor that made her beautiful on the inside as well as the outside.

Uncle Gene, Angie, Kristina, and Family, so sorry to hear of the loss of Aunt Kay, she will be missed. I have wonderful childhood memories of Aunt Kay especially the Corvair not stopping! Or spending Friday nights at your house brushing hair and eating popcorn:).

Aunt Kay was always the nicest, most sincere and kind person. She did whatever she could to make those around her happy. I remember so many times playing games and cards around the picnic style dinner table.
