Glenn Erwin Colegrove, Jr.

MADISON-Glenn E. Colegrove, Jr., age 71, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 at the UW Hospital. He was born on February 17, 1944, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Joliet, Illinois, the son of Glenn, Sr. and Geraldine (Werner) Colegrove. He moved to Madison where he graduated from East High School in 1962. Glenn obtained an aviation pilot license, cosmetology degree and culinary degree. He worked his entire life and retired from the Concourse Hotel as a bakery chef. Glenn enjoyed riding his bike, swimming, community and political events, traveling, cooking and nature. He was a very kind and caring man who was always trying to help others while making a difference in the world by doing the right thing. Glenn is survived by his companion Jean O'Neil and her family and his Moorland neighbors and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ronnie, many other relatives and friends and his parakeet, Squeaky. A Memorial Celebration will be held at MIDVALE COMMUNITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 4329 Tokay Blvd., Madison, at 11:00am, on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, with Reverend Blake Roher presiding.
