Got to know Jane through the American Red Cross Overseas Association (ARCOA) when she helped host in 2004 in Madison. We had a lot of good talks and fun over the years. Her quick wit, dedication and tireless efforts will be missed. She was not only the treasurer but a treasure.

Jane Drake was a beloved member of the American Red Cross Overseas Association. She was a Board Member who gave great counsel to all of us. She was my "eagle eye" who always wanted to make sure we were making the right decisions for the organization. Her time in Korea as a Red Cross Clubmobile worker, aka, "Donut Dollie" was one she cherished. I, along with all ARCOA members, will always remember Jane as the measured, detail oriented yet caring woman she was. If the photo I have included comes through it is of Jane last year in front of one of the Tiffany Windows at Red Cross National Headquarters. It was taken at our yearly Memorial. Whenever I think of Jane, I smile. She was a wonderful, determined woman who gave a richness to the texture of the American Red Cross Overseas Association. She was blessed with the ability to see all sides of an issue, and yet she would defend her position. She will be remembered with fondness, and we shall miss her at future meetings and conventions.

First met Jane in Madison at the ARCOA Convention. We would get together at the many meeting following then and became a great friend. I appreciated her knowledge and her wit, which she shared in equal measure. Jane will be deeply missed. Shirley Powers
