Obituary

MIDDLETON – Ed passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 20, 2015. He is survived by his daughters Andrea DeMeo and Diane Leonik and his sons Edwin P. DeMeo and Christopher C. DeMeo in addition to his grand-daughters Kaitlyn and Kallie Leonik. Ed was born in Philadelphia, PA on Nov. 22, 1932. Ed and his family moved to Middleton in 1982. Ed was very proud of his children and grand-daughters. He enjoyed many family vacations skiing and fishing with his sons and daughters creating many happy memories. He was a devoted father and loving husband to his beloved wife, Pat. Ed earned his engineering degree from the University of Miami, FL. During this time he also played for the University baseball team as a starting pitcher. His engineering degree led him to a distinguished career that began with Oscar Mayer Foods. He was involved with many segments of the business and his greatest accomplishments came from those he mentored in their careers. Ed was an active member of the Gateway Community Church and a strong supporter of the foreign missions and buildings project. Ed will be missed greatly by his family and friends. There will be a celebration of Ed's life at GATEWAY COMMUNITY CHURCH, 3510 High Road, Middleton at 10:30 AM on Saturday Oct 31, 2015 following the burial service at MIDDLETON JUNCTION CEMETERY at 9:30 AM. Ed was more to me than my brother-in-law, he was more like my big brother. He and my sister were always there for me. Ed loved his family and was devoted to them all. I loved him and I will miss our lively political debates. Rest in peace. Love to my family. Georgeann, Dave and Patrick

My prayers are with Ed's family. When Ed married my cousin Pat he just fit in. It was like he had always been part of the family. I know he truly loved his family. RIP Ed.
