My condolences, there is no one like our mothers. Ellen was such a lovely person and always so appreciative. She was genuinely warm and loving. She was one of my mother and father's favorites as she joins my mother in eternal life. Beautiful photo of your mother. She will be missed. Love to the Pagel family. It was very sad news to hear of Ellen's passing. My family really enjoyed knowing her, and I especially felt a special bond with her as I was able to use the little bit of sign language that I know to have some very nice conversations with her. I will always remember her as a very sweet lady who enjoyed spending time with her family. Big hugs to all of you. We know this must be a very difficult time. May love and the wonderful memories you share see you through. Love, Sheri, John, Aidan & Sarah Smith

So sorry for your loss Jan, Jesse and family. The loss of a mother is like no other loss. We learn so much from them about life and love, and when they are gone a big source of strength leaves our corner. But the memories and life's lessons will remain. My best to you during this time. Hugs, Mary Hamielec

We are so sorry to learn of Ellen's passing so soon after moving from her home in the neighborhood. She did stick it out to the end. That's typical of the very strong lady she has always been. She and Bob had been wonderful neighbors of ours for over 40 years. They even provided us with a babysitter way back then! Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Rosemary & Tom Kleinheinz

Dear Janice, David,, and Jim, We recently learned of the passing of your mother, and my wife and I would like to extend our condolences to your family. I remember her as a very very kind and gracious woman. She always reminded me of my own mother in her manner, her movements, and her sweet disposition. I know that at times things were very difficult for her near the end of her lifetime. This was the case with my mom as well. It's interesting that they both passed at age 89. I'm sure that your memories of her will help to sustain and strengthen you in the years to come. Every good wish, Harvey and Trudy Barash
