Christopher Elsner Hinsman

MIDDLETON-Christopher Elsner Hinsman, age 58, passed away on Friday, October 2, 2015.  He was born on May 8, 1957 in Madison, the son of Keith and Betty (Elsner) Hinsman.  On October 2nd we lost a brother and a true friend.  Chris was a kind compassionate person who always placed the needs of his family and friends above his own.  Chris rarely got angry and never had bad things to say about the people around him.  He always looked forward to visiting his grandparents along with Aunt Joanne and Uncle Jack in Racine.  A real treat would be when his cousins; Tiger, Pepper, Suzy and Brendan would visit.  In the early 70's Chris earned the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 140.  It was at this time when he became connected with the great outdoors.  He especially loved Door County.  Music also became a very important part of his life.  But the best music would be either Dave F., Gary K., or Cooker jamming out on their harmonicas.  Chris also loved fast cars.  Although he never drove, he would shotgun many miles in Kevin V's Mach One Mustang or Ronny H's Camaro.  Above all Chris loved his bulldogs.  After the passing of Winston the 3rd Chris made new friends with Truman and Gabby, two Golden Retrievers who became a big part of his life. (Thanks Gary).  Chris is survived by a brother, Jeff Hinsman, a sister Lisa (Mike) Henning, three nieces Tanya (Eric) Hernandez, Jennifer Roysdon, Sam (Mike) Bernard and a nephew  Ed Hinsman.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  A Celebration of Life will be held at MIDDLETON SPORT BOWL, 6815 University Ave., Middleton from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2015.  Chris' family would like to thank all of his friends and neighbors at The Patrician Senior Community for their friendship and support.
