Obituary
MADISON–Donald A. Lautzenhiser, age 64, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2015, after a brief illness. He was born on March 18, 1951, in Madison, the son of Willis and Isabelle (Slauson) Lautzenhiser. Don was employed with the City of Madison Water Utility and retired after 27 years of service. He enjoyed photography, genealogy and listening to music. Don is survived by his wife, Kate of 33 years; children, Russell (Jenny) Lautzenhiser and Sarah (Jim) Glanzer; step-children, Nicole Besser and David (Tracy) Peth; eight grandchildren; sisters, Donna (Mike) Leckwee and Cathy (Tom) Janquart; brother, Jim Lautzenhiser; brothers-in-law, Gary (Sujan) Yates, Mark (Linda) Yates, Tom (Janyce) Yates and Bruce (Lori) Yates; sister-in-law, Margaret Belk and beloved pets, Poky, Elvis, Bug, Captain Jack and Sherlock; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Miriam Yates; father-in-law, Lynn Yates; sister-in-law, JoAnn Yates. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015.
