SUN PRAIRIE-Theodore J. "Ted" Larson, age 81, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015. He was born in Rio, Wis., on Dec. 23, 1933, the son of Cora (Waffel) and Theodore Larson. He was married to Rosemary Brausen for 56 years. Ted loved fishing, hunting, playing horseshoes and working as a floor sander for 35 years. He was a great family man. Ted is survived by his wife, Rosemary Larson (nee Brausen); children, Lynn Larson (Rick Axtman), Jean (Pat) Wohlers, Geri (Tim) Imberg, Bill (Stacey) Larson and Jim (Amy) Larson; grandchildren, Liz, Katie, Ben, Eric, Amber, Jessica, Taylor, Jack and Cameron; siblings, Clair Larson, Carole Zins and Ernie Larson; many nieces and nephews; and two special fishing buddies, Jim Krugman and Bob Weisensel. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Donald, Adeline, Bernice, Elgin and June. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015. Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. I knew Ted as part of the Deansville horseshoe club. He was a tough competitor, and was great making things with his hands. I also through horseshoe pitching got to know his son Jim and wife Amy. I was saddened at this news, and my thoughts and prayers to the family.

VERY SORRY TO HERE OF THE LOSS OF TED, SEEMS LIKE JUST YESTERDAY WE WERE AT HIS 80TH BIRTHDAY, STILL HAVE THE WALKING STICK. IT WAS ALWAYS A JOY WHEN TED AND ROSEMARY CAME ON THE JOB, A REGULAR FOR ME SINCE 1982 ( WITH BILL AND JIM FILLING IN THE LATER YEARS).UNFORTUNATELY PRIOR COMMITMENTS WILL KEEP ME FROM ATTENDING THE SERVICES, MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH THE FAMILY AND I WILL CATCH UP WITH BILL AND JIM DOWN THE ROAD. My prayers and condolences to the family My memories of Ted and Rosie are very vivid from childhood , I looked forward to them coming to the cabin , Uncle Teddy was always full of jokes and smiles and Aunt Rosie was so warm hearted and caring I have never tasted a bean soup like hers my heart hurts today to be just finding out and to not have been able to pay my last respects to either of them but my memories of them live on in my thoughts and heart to LYN , JEAN, GERI, BILL, AND JIM I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR LOSS AND MISS ALL OF YOU SENDING YOU ALL MY LOVE
