Melanie Katherine Heinrich

JANESVILLE-Melanie Katherine Heinrich, age 40, passed away on Friday, October 09, 2015, following a long illness. She was born on Jan. 8, 1975, on Elvis's 40th birthday, in Madison, the daughter of Richard and Anna (Grygorenko) Vanderhoef. Melanie went to Stoughton High School, graduating in 1993. Out of all the jobs she had throughout her life, working at Claire's Boutique was by far her favorite. Melanie is survived by the love of her life, David Peterson; sons, Brandon and Bryce; parents, Ric and Ann; brother, Father R. Michael (Patricia) Vanderhoef; sister, Andrea Vanderhoef; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Funeral services will be held at ASSUMPTION GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH, 11 North 7th St., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, with Father R. Michael Vanderhoef presiding. Burial will be at Door Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, with a Trisagion memorial service held at 6:30 p.m. and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday.
