Kathleen Nifong

SALEM, IN-Kathleen Janet (Hebel) Nifong, age 70, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at Salem Crossing Nursing Home. She was born December 15, 1944, in Poynette, WI, the daughter of Clarence and Lillith (Curtis) Hebel. Kathy was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished time with her family and adored her grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, music and never met a puppy she didn't like. Kathy had a great heart and a generous soul. She was a longtime member of Lakeville United Methodist Church in Lakeville, IN, where she sang in the choir for many years. Kathy was a 1963 graduate of Waunakee High School in Waunakee, WI. She worked as a secretary/administrative assistant for American Family Insurance in Madison, WI, Whiteford Truck Lines and Crowe Chizek & Assoc. in South Bend, IN, and Midwest Logistics in North Liberty, IN, before retiring in 2005.Kathy is survived by her daughter, Christine (Christopher) Morris of Salem, IN; son, Jeffrey Nifong of South Bend, IN; grandchildren, Kathleen and Benjamin Morris of Salem, IN; brother, Robert (Alice) Hebel of DeForest, WI; sister, Joanne (James) Ripp of Oregon, WI and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.A Memorial Service will be held at ARLINGTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 103 Reagles St., Arlington, WI, at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 11, 2015 with Pastor Lee Bushweiler presiding.
