Raymond J Tegner

LODI-Raymond J. Tegner went to join his wife, Bernice and other loved ones who had passed before him on Sept. 14, 2015.  He was 95 years old and lived a long and happy life.  Raymond was born and grew up in Rockford, Illinois. He was married to Joyce (Body) Tegner until 1965. He worked for the Amerock Company, starting as a Tool and Die Maker and then became a Design Engineer.  He was also an artist and loved teaching art lessons and painting in watercolor and acrylic.  His grandparents operated the Bridge Tavern and he spent some of his youth in the Okee area and on Lake Wisconsin.  He loved the lake and has had a home on the lake for most of his life.  In 1968 he married his wife Bernice and they enjoyed their summers on Lake Wisconsin and their winters in Florida. He is survived by his daughters Linda (Tegner) Balde and her husband Robert of Goes,The Netherlands, and his stepdaughters, Judith (Thomas) Williams and her husband John of Cape San Blas, FL, and Karen (Thomas) Smith and her husband Jim of Orlando, FL.  He is further survived by his grandchildren Sean (Erica) Williams, Stuart Williams, Kristin (Smith) Haag, Brad (Jennifer) Smith, Sara Balde, Noel Balde, Rebecca (Balde) Van Dijk and her husband, Eus, as well as 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bernice. A private service for the family will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.
