Obituary
MADISON-Elizabeth "Betty" Olstadt, age 90, of Madison, passed away on Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at Agrace HospiceCare. Betty was born on Sept. 12 1925, in Madison. She married William Olstadt on April 21, 1942. Betty loved playing cards, knitting, crocheting, her dog, Addy, and a nice glass of brandy at night. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love of her life. She worked at Quisling Clinic and WPS. Betty is survived by her daughters, Patty Digman and Kathy Schlimgen; grandchildren, Mara (Mike) Liska, Jenny (Mike) Sauer, Chad (Shannon) Schlimgen, Robert Digman, and Sarah (Edward) Stevens; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Lauren Liska, Kayla and Chloe Schlimgen and Sage and Bri Sauer; sisters, Edna Bradley and Pat Blanchard; and sister-in-law, Lorraine Olstadt and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; sister, Mary Brown; sons-in-law, David Schlimgen and John Digman; and the Olstadt's – Hallie, Jack and Mattie. A memorial gathering will be held at GREAT DANE PUB & BREWING COMPANY (Eastside), 876 Jupiter Dr., Madison, from noon until 3 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 27, 2015. A private burial will be held at Roselawn at a later date. Donations may be made to Agrace HospiceCare. The family would like to thank Dr. Al Musa and Jeff Welsch PA-C for all their great care throughout the years and Agrace HospiceCare. Patty and Kathy, I had not seen your mom in about 40 years! But I have thought about her often of late. And then saw the news of her passing. Thank you for posting a photo here. It was good to see her face once more. I am truly sorry for your loss. Betty was my boss for about 6 years at Quisling Clinic. I remember her talking about the two of you often. I worked with your mom when you were planning your wedding, Kathy! She was so proud of all of you. Her family was very important to her. I am glad that it sounds as if she had a long and full and happy life. My sympathies to you and your entire family.
