Eda Randall

MADISON-Eda Hazel Randall, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at her daughter's house. She was born on Aug. 23, 1913, in Mondovi, Wis., the daughter of Bernt and Bertena Eide. She married Melvin H. Randall on Oct. 16, 1938. Eda worked for the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture as a stenographer for about 25 years. Because of her husband's love for travel, they visited many countries around the world. Eda's passion in life was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed gardening, playing the piano, playing cards, baking, scrapbooking and sewing. In the past year, Eda sewed hundreds of cloth napkins for family and friends. Eda is survived by her three daughters, twins, Darilee (Ron) Nelson and Dugney Prazak and Sue Richgels; seven grandchildren, Kristi (Scott Hepler) Prazak Hepler, Randall (Peggy) Nelson, Kimberly (Shawn) Crary, Leanne Nelson, Lynn (Todd Schultz) Richgels, Cindy (Brian Sullivan) Richgels, and Nikoli (Courtney Eguchi) Prazak; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers; one sister; and two sons-in-law, William Prazak and John Richgels. Funeral services will be held at MESSIAH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5202 Cottage Grove Rd., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Friday, Sept. 18, 2015, with the Rev. Jeff Vanden Heuvel presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
