MADISON- Everett V. Podebradsky, age 87, of Madison passed away on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 at Agrace HospiceCare. He was born in Lena, WI. on Oct. 25, 1927 to John and Julia (Lusnia) Podebradsky. He graduated from Lena High School in 1945 and attended his 70th reunion in August. Everett also graduated from the UW in 1950 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. He served as an Army Sergeant and was able to go on a Badger Honor Flight in May of 2013. After the Army , Everett had a 42 year long career at Oscar Mayer as a chemical engineer in the research and development department. Everett married Shirley Ann Zeitler on June 16, 1951 in Oconto, WI. Everett enjoyed skiing, golfing, bowling, hunting, fishing, gardening, and loved his cottage at Goose Lake. He also took pleasure in his book club, traveling, his faith, and bridge club. He is survived by his children; Mary (Michael) Myers, Ann (Doug) Grieb, John (Diane) Podebradsky, Susan Podebradsky, and Tracy McReath (Doug Jerdee); Grandchildren, Chad MacLeod (Amanda), Kim Solis (Ivo), Cassy Butler (Josh), Blake Gerber, Kristen McReath, Adije Podebradsky, Michael McReath, and Nicholas McReath; Great grandchildren, Henry and Jack Butler and Ivo and Isla Solis. Everett was preceded in death by his parents, wife on Jan. 3, 2013, brother Alfred and sister Lucille Delaney. Funeral services will be held at SAINT DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 DEMPSEY RD. at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015 with Father Randy Timmerman presiding. Burial with full military rights will take place at Highland Memory Gardens in Cottage Grove. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
