Fidencio Campos, III

January 21, 1972 - August 19, 2015

Obituary

Our beloved Fidencio Campos III passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Wednesday, August 19, 2015. Born on January 21, 1972, Fidencio is survived by his parents, Fidencio Campos Jr, Diane Benjamin, and Dave Boyles; grandmother, Enedina Rodriquez; siblings, Stefan (Kristin) Boyles, Benjamin Boyles, Elliot Campos, Ceara Campos, and Arielle (Michael) Reeves; nephews, Keaton and Emmett Boyles; and many cousins. All who knew Fidencio could see that he lived his values of love, joy, and generosity full tilt. He expressed his gifts in painting, drumming, camping, skiing, and always in making people laugh. But Fidencio's passion first and last was always cooking. He experienced the sacred in feeding people, providing sustenance to body and soul. That passion took him many places – Eugene OR, Winterpark CO, his beloved NOLA feeding victims of Hurricane Katrina, and back home to us in Madison WI. The overwhelming outpouring of kind and joyful remembrances of our beloved Fidencio are captured so perfectly in these comments from beloved friends: This man was the sweetest, kindest, funniest, most true person -I have EVER known- Everyone he came across he touched their hearts. If someone ask me to describe Fidi in 2 words it would be "simply amazing ". Two celebrations of Fidencio's life are planned: A memorial service will take place at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL on Monday, August 24, 2015. A celebration of Fidencio's life will take place at the Overture Center in Madison, WI on Monday August 31, 3:00-7:00pm. Please join us! . Help Fidencio keep making us smile! In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to www.smiletrain.org in Fidencio's name.
