Carol Towne

MADISON/OMENA, MICH./PHILADELPHIA, PA-Carol Chworowsky Towne, age 87, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at Capital Lake Terraces. She was born on Nov. 5, 1927, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Hans and Aurelia (Frederick) Chworowsky. She married Ralph Towne in Oct., 1964. He preceded her in death in 2014. Carol was on the faculty of Temple University as Director of Speech Pathology at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. She earned her doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is survived by her brother, John (Johanna) Chworowsky; sister, Marie (John) Christianson; nieces and nephews, Peter (Karen) Chworowsky, Elizabeth Kelly, Andrew Chworowsky and Roy (Dianne) Christianson; and special friends, Carter and Deb Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. A memorial service will be held at CAPITOL LAKES, Grand Hall of Main Gate, 333 W. Main St., Madison, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015.
