Obituary
STOUGHTON-Neva "Janess" Anderson, age 86, of Stoughton, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at Azura Memory Care in Stoughton. She was born on January 17, 1929, in Columbus, the daughter of Elmer and Sina (Bush) Iwert. She married Giles Anderson on Oct. 24, 1947, in Stoughton. Janess grew up on the family farms in Columbus and Doylestown. The family later moved to Stoughton where she attended and graduated from Stoughton High School. Janess was a longtime employee of Universal Silencer where she was a supervisor, retiring in 1991. She was a member of and volunteer at Covenant Lutheran Church and the Weekenders Club. Janess enjoyed volunteering for the Stoughton Jr. Fair, as a poll worker for elections, traveling, hardanger embroidery, needlepoint, arts and crafts, card club, polka's, the accordion and dancing; however, Janess especially enjoyed spending time with her loving family and friends. She is survived by her children, Gary (Cindy) Anderson of Janesville and Lori (Eric) Holen of McFarland; seven grandchildren, Kristen (Shane McCollough) Arnett, Ava (Catherine "Cat") Arnett, David (Brenda) Arnett, Karen (David) Rozic, Jenny (Zach) Raby, Jessica (David) James and Katie (Luke) Murphy; nine great-grandchildren; Michael Otis, Brittney (CJ) Abert, Nick Arnett, Kevin Rozic, Amber Rozic, Josiah Raby, Lilly Raby, Maya Raby and Amelia Murphy; one great-great grandson, Eli Abert; son-in-law, Steven Arnett of Fort Collins, Colo.; brothers-in-law, Willard Hanson and Robert Busch; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Teresa Arnett; two sisters, Zona Busch and Roberta Iwert; and sister-in-law, Sylvia Hanson. Funeral services will be held at COVENANT LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1525 N. Van Buren St., Stoughton, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015, with a lunch to follow. Burial will be in Lutheran South Cemetery, Stoughton. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Wisconsin at www.alz.org/scwisc/ or Covenant Lutheran Church. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Azura Memory Care and Agrace HospiceCare for allowing their mother the dignity of living the remainder of her life with outstanding care, compassion and love. I would have liked to have come to the visitation, by my hip is going to be replaced and right now I have a difficult time walking. I viewed the video and ordered a DVD--it was wonderful and choked me up a little.-- take care to all of the family
