VI was my *touchstone* the kind of friend you could call at 3 am crying and she would not be upset. there is none like her. I have a funny VI story, we always teased each other about what we would do or give up for Lent. Last year VI gave up tv, I told her she was *nuts*, and then this year, she gave up candy and TV. OMG, I could not compare. I teased her and told her she would miss the Final Four game. She would not give in. I knew she would not. I told her that the Lord would not call it cheating on Lent if she happened to come to our place and the game was accidentally one. She still would not give in. That's our VI, faithful to the end. with love, Zeke and Sharon

Working with Vi at Lodi Veterinary Care was like having a special "Grandma" there with you. Her positive spirit and warm smile was always present to brighten the day. She would allow me to have "proud new mom" moments as she would frequently ask for updated stories and pictures of my daughter. Her baked goodies were definitely a welcome site prior to starting a busy day or after coming in from a tough call. We will miss her dearly at the clinic. My deepest sympathies to the entire family and prayers of strength to you all.

One of the highlights each day going or coming home from work, was seeing her mowing her lawn, working in the garden where she shared her produce or briskly taking a walk with her sweet smile shing out for everyone to see. Doreen Reinwand

Vi was such a pleasure to know. I will miss seeing her while doing laundry at the apartments. I am so thankful that I got to see her shortly before she died and was able to give/get hug from her. My sympathies go out to all of you! Kay Salzwedel
